In 1913 at 19 years old, Francis Ouimet defeated the world's best players, Harry Vardon and Ted Ray, in an 18 hole play-off to win the US Open Championship. We named our new hat the Ouimet because we think it can beat some big names.

Our quest was to find out what was the best fitting cap in golf. When a golfer finds a cap that fits just right, they will come back and buy it again and again.

We took 7 brands of hats out into the field and had people try them on in front of a mirror. Once people started trying on the hats, one brand began to stand out above the others.

Our next step was to send the specs to the factory. There were multiple samples made and air freighted to us. After months of working on the fit and shape we knew we had the look we were looking for and the Ouimet was born.

We had the Ouimet made from Pearl Nylon which is a proven performance fabric. You can rest assured the fabric will keep you cool and not show sweat stains immediately. It will hold it's color in the sun and can be washed out easily.

For finishing touches we made the sweatband from a performance tricot fabric. The underbills are a sun absorbing grey fabric and the Velcro closure has the Sure Fit elastic back.
